The Coos County Area Transportation District (CCATD) and Coquille Indian Tribe (CIT) are preparing updated Coordinated Human Services Public Transportation Plans. The purpose of the Plans is to support coordination between public transportation and human services providers focused on older adults, people with disabilities and persons of low income.
“We have spent the past six months listening to the needs of key stakeholders, including health care, educational, recreational and employment providers, as well as community members,” said Melissa Metz, CCATD General Manager. “We are excited to talk with those same stakeholders and the broader community about possible strategies.”
Coordinated Plans are locally developed plans that identify the transportation needs of priority populations, propose strategies for meeting those local needs, and offer prioritization of transportation services for funding and implementation. Coordinated Plans are required for certain state and federal funding.
